Much of the growth that the aviation industry is experiencing is due to the advancement of vaccination. In September, the daily average of domestic flights is 74.6% when the traditional comparison is made with the pre-pandemic period, as shown by Abear's data.
“This result shows the resilience of national airlines. It is important to remember that the continuity of this performance is linked to the pace of vaccination and the non-aggravation of the pandemic. We also have to face the Brazil Cost, which can inhibit a more consistent recovery of aviation”, says the president of ABEAR, Eduardo Sanovicz.
Also according to Abear, this is the fifth consecutive month of growth in the sector. Anac also released data that show that the sector is going through a trend of recovery. In the worst moments of the crisis, demand fell by more than 90%.
The yellow bar chart below shows the daily average of flights each month, the blue ones show the variation compared to the domestic flight offer from early March 2020.
The text data are from Anac and Abear.
