Azul increases the frequency of flights to Portugal, in addition to offering more flights to the country in December

This morning (20), Azul announced that, as of December, it will have daily flights to Lisbon (Portugal) from its main hub, Viracopos airport, in Campinas (SP). The demand for flights to the European country has increased a lot, as Portugal has opened its borders to Brazilians without the need for quarantine.
In addition, to take advantage of the increased demand, the airline will have, from October, flights to Portugal with a frequency of five times a week.
“The extra flights already in October are a quick response that we are giving to the increase in demand and sales of trips to Portugal since the relaxation of entry rules in the country. In the next two months, we will make occasional additions to the offer we already had, but, confident in the consolidation of demand and in the maintenance of the current rules, we are planning a daily flight between our biggest hub and Lisbon in December. Portugal is an important destination for Azul and offers convenience to our Client, who boards from Campinas on a direct flight to Europe. We are excited about this beginning of the international resumption”, says Vitor Silva, network planning manager at Azul.
Travelers must provide a negative covid test taken 48 or 72 hours prior to departure (depending on the type of test) and must present the European Union Covid Digital Certificate. Passengers will be able to access other destinations in Europe that already have their borders open to Brazilians, through the codeshare agreement between Azul and Tap.
