Guarulhos International Airport, after publishing a NOTAM (notice to airmen) without the consent of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), received a notice of violation issued by the Agency and will have 20 days to challenge it.

The infraction occurred on September 16, after the airport replaced NOTAM D1365/21 and D1366/21 with numbers D1457/21 and D1458/21, having adjusted some information, without prior consent of ANAC, configuring non-compliance with requirement 153,105 of RBAC No. 153.

A NOTAM is a document that contains essential information for the personnel responsible for flight operations. The information contained in a NOTAM refers to the establishment, condition or alteration of any installation, service, procedure or hazard at an airport. In Brazil, for the publication of a NOTAM by the airport administrator, it is necessary to obtain an approval.

In the case of Guarulhos, the NOTAM was related to the maintenance work on the two lanes, which will take place during the night between September and December. The work will take place on each runway at different times, so the movement of the airport will not be interrupted.
