Azul Conecta concluded the purchase of new Cessna C208 Grand Caravan EX aircraft. The purpose of the purchase would be to further connect the interior of the country.
Textron Aviation will deliver the aircraft. In all, there are 5 firm orders and another 5 purchase options. The five already have a date to arrive: two will arrive until the next October 6th and three until the first quarter of 2022.
“The Caravan aircraft offers a valuable form of transportation throughout Brazil, especially for people in rural areas,” said Marcelo Moreira, Vice President of Sales for Latin America at Textron Aviation.
Azul Conecta currently operates 18 aircraft of this model, and is the largest Cessna Grand Caravan operator in Brazil.
“Azul's business plan is to develop a regional and sub-regional aviation company in Brazil, and our operations with Azul Conecta have represented this very well since last year,” said Flavio Costa, CEO of Azul Conecta.
