Skytrax chooses Latam as the best airline in South America

Skytrax, through the World Airlines Award 2021, elected Latam as the best airline in South America. The company was also recognized with an award for excellence in combating covid for safety and hygiene measures adopted.
To elaborate this ranking, Skytrax listened to over 13.4 million passengers around the world. The survey was carried out between September 2019 and July 2021, totaling 23 months. In this way, the pre-pandemic period was also encompassed.
“This recognition encourages and challenges us to continue working hard on behalf of our customers. I am grateful for the commitment of our employees in difficult times such as those we have been experiencing, as well as the preference of passengers who chose LATAM to take their dreams to their destination”, says Paulo Miranda, vice president of Customers for the LATAM Airlines Group.
Latam was ranked 45th among companies operating in Brazil, even ahead of Azul, which ranked 47th among the best-rated companies globally.
Latam is going through a request for judicial recovery in the US and uncertainties about its sale to Azul. However, the company maintains plans for its recovery, including new destinations planned for the beginning of 2022.
