During the China Airshow in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, in the south of the country, China presented missiles and bombs for its stealth fighters. In addition to armaments, China also presented a scale model of its second stealth fighter, the Shenyang FC-31, with the J-20 being the first.
The PL-15E air-to-air missile was one of those presented by AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China), with a distance of 145 km, the missile has a very high accuracy, being guided by satellite navigation, active radar, datalink and a inertial combination.
The PL-10E missile is another weapon presented, but this is an advanced short-range air-to-air missile. Very agile, the missile was announced to be available for export during Airshow China in 2018.
Another highlight was the LS-6/250 pump, which is a precision guided glider pump. The armament weighs just 294 kg and can have a range of over 100 km.
The weapons presented cover all short and long range situations, making the FC-31 fighter capable of fighting in any scenario. According to a Chinese expert, the PL-15E missile is far superior to missiles from other countries.
Also according to the expert, the FC-31 is comparable to the US F-35 as one of the most advanced stealth fighters in the world. The weapons combined with the FC-31 would result in an even more capable fighter than the F-35.
