Four-engine planes are becoming increasingly rare. This is because they have the highest operating cost. However, the big guys still have plenty of fans. British Airways, seeing the recovery movement the aviation market is going through, has decided that the return of the Airbus A380 superjumbo is justified.
In early August, British had already announced the renewal of a contract for a further five years of maintenance on 12 units of the A380. Thus, it was clear that the company wanted to return to operating the plane, but so far, nothing had been confirmed.
British Airways can still change this data according to demand, but until then, flights with the Airbus A380 will take place from 8 November on short flights from London to Frankfurt and Madrid. The plane will return to flights after more than a year without flying.
The plans don't stop there, from December 3rd the superjumbo will fly to Miami, from December 5th, the destination is Dubai, from December 7th to Dallas and from December 9th to Los Angeles.
The company will bring back 5 of its 12 units from the plane.
