Grupo Latam received authorization to increase its operations in Argentina. According to current demand, the company will return to operating in Mendoza and Córdoba. The announcement comes one year and seven months after the stoppage of operations in the region.
Other companies are also increasing their international operations in line with current demand. The return will take place from October 19th for flights from Mendoza to Santiago and San Pablo, with up to three weekly flights. As of November 15, flights from Lima and Santiago will be made to Cordoba, also three times a week.
Passengers wishing to enter Argentina, however, must have the complete vaccination schedule with one of the vaccines currently accepted by the country. Nowadays, citizens from Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay can enter the country. However, from November 1st, everyone will be able to join.
“Resuming our international operations in Mendoza and Córdoba is excellent news for the country's connectivity, which allows us to unite Argentina with the region and at the same time provide a better service offer to our passengers, also benefiting regional economies,” said the Commercial Manager of LATAM Airlines in Argentina.
The company also said that passengers who were affected during the downtime will be able to change their ticket date at no additional cost, depending on seat availability. The offer will be available on Latam's systems until October 13th.
