Last Thursday, October 14, the airline Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced the suspension of flights to Kabul, Afghanistan. According to the company, the extremist group was applying unprofessional and derogatory conduct against its employees, such as making changes to flight permits without prior notice, contrary to international regulations.
In a statement, the PIA also said that Taliban members were treating some of their employees harshly, including reports of physical assaults at gunpoint.
In late September, the Taliban asked airlines to return to the country, saying Kabul airport was completely safe for air operations. PIA is one of the few airlines currently operating in Afghanistan.
