During Wing Month, which includes the Aviator's Day and the Brazilian Air Force Day (celebrated on October 23), several events will be held, including the "FAB towards the future" Exhibition, organized by the Parliamentary and Relations Office Institutions of the Aeronautics Commander (ASPAER). The official opening of the exhibition took place last Wednesday, October 20th.
The exhibition uses photographic panels to show actions developed by the Institution, such as the Strategic Program for Space Systems (PESE), a project that includes the development or transfer of technology in Brazil and in partnership with other countries; the new KC-390 Millennium aircraft and the F-39 Gripen; the participation of women in the FAB; air defense; air traffic control; transport of organs; assistance to indigenous peoples; fighting Covid-19; social and civic-social actions; and humanitarian aid.
Brigadier of the Air Reginaldo Pontirolli, Head of ASPAER, highlighted the presence of the FAB, through the exhibition, at the National Congress. “For the Air Force it is an important moment and we are happy to be in the people's home, where great national leaders can see our projects, and who support us with each release and budget and that processes and products are leveraged for the benefit of society. Our special thanks to Deputy Arthur Lira, for the space, and to Deputy Vitor Hugo, who is the requester of this moment”, he says.
According to Pontirolli, the exhibition intends to show congressmen the importance of the role played by the Air Force. “The strategic projects move the Air Force into the future, and they give sustainability to our actions”, he comments.
Federal Deputy Vitor Hugo affirms that the Chamber of Deputies has been a partner of the Air Force and of all strategic projects. “This moment is nothing more than a fair recognition by the people's house of the value that the Air Force has for our country”, he concludes.
