The National Aeronauts Union (SNA) announced that an online vote held last Monday, 25th, resulted in the approval of the start of procedures for carrying out a strike movement if the renewal of the Collective Labor Convention (CTT) is not formalized. ) of the category until the 20th of November this year.

At the time, 6,178 voters participated in the deliberation, with 95.53% of the votes being in favor and 3.22% against, while 1.25% of the votes registered were abstentions.

The National Union of Airline Companies (SNEA), in a meeting held on the 20th, denied the possibility of maintaining the current clauses of CTT if a new agreement is not signed by December 1st.

In a statement, the Union states: "we emphasize that the eventual end of the collective instrument's validity entails the immediate elimination of several social and economic rights, in addition to the end and essential operational rules that are exclusively provided for in this document, with a negative impact, including, for the companies themselves. Faced with the serious risks involved for flight safety with the possibility of a sudden fall in the rules that govern the profession, the category expressed its indignation with the expressive vote in favor of the possibility of a strike movement”.

The SNA also recalls that the category has just gone through a time when it was forced to sign collective agreements to suspend contracts, unpaid leaves and reduce working hours and salaries.

The only claim in the list of claims for the renewal of the aeronauts' CTT includes the salary adjustment by the INPC from December 1, 2019 to November 30, 2021.

The other clauses deal with the full renewal of the current text, ensuring the maintenance of a minimum regulation for the exercise of the profession without risk to safety.

Next Thursday, October 28, there will be a new meeting with the companies.

The SNA provided clarification on the matter in live held last Wednesday (20), and you can check it at the link below.
