Colombian low-cost company ViVa Air is increasing its offer of flights on international routes, taking advantage of the fact that demand is quite heated and health rules for travelers coming from other countries are being relaxed. In addition, 15 new international routes are planned to be opened by 2024.
The company's domestic routes, especially those to beach locations, are very important for the recovery, as domestic aviation has already shown an almost complete return in demand, encouraging tourism and, consequently, the country's development.
Already accounting for the expected increase in demand for the end of the year, Viva should end 2021 with around 6 million passengers transported. To date, almost 4 million passengers were transported in 2021 on more than 28,000 flights.
