Rostec says UAE take interest in Russian Checkmate fighter jet

During the Dubai Airshow 2021, an event that began on the 14th, representatives from the United Arab Emirates were interested in the Russian-born Checkmate fighter jet.
“The UAE has already shown interest and wants to take a closer look and discuss the plane,” said Sergei Chemezov, head of Russian state-owned Rostec. In addition, Sergei said the fighter jet should arouse the interest of other nations at other times.
The head of the Russian state-owned company, Rostec, highlighted some of the plane's qualities, and said that the options can be installed on the plane, if the customer asks for it. He also mentioned the price, which will vary depending on the options chosen, adding that the price of the basic version should be around 30-35 million dollars.
As for the weaponry offered, the options provided are the weapons that have already been tested on the Sukhoi Su-57. “These technologies were developed and tested, have proven their efficiency and, therefore, are simpler and cheaper”. Any other types of weaponry must be adapted.
The fighter has an internal compartment for air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles, which can hit up to six targets simultaneously.
The plane is built with advanced technologies such as open architecture to meet customer requirements and artificial intelligence. The single engine with stealth technology can reach Mach 1.8 and can carry a payload of 7 tons of payload.
