For training purposes, A new highly technological Boeing 737 MAX simulator was installed at BAA Training's headquarters in Barcelona. The headquarters is a training and education center for pilots. The equipment is from L3 Harris Technologies.

Simulation equipment for the Boeing 737 MAX is scarce, so another simulator of its kind is planned next year.

“Compared to more than 200 B737NG simulators worldwide, around three dozen B737 MAX simulators are a limited number. That is why we are pleased to be one of the few pilot training providers able to offer this type of simulator training," said Aurimas Urbonas, Managing Director of BAA Training Spain.

Flying an airplane as complex as the Boeing 737 MAX requires not only specialized training, but constant training, even from the most experienced pilots. Both the EASA and the FAA require pilots who fly a Boeing 737 MAX or who drive a mixed 737NG / 737 MAX (MFF) fleet to complete return-to-service (RTS) training.

“At BAA Training Spain we continue to provide quality and accommodate the demands of commercial airlines and aviation professionals. The addition of the full-flight simulator to the B737 MAX is another step towards providing better variety and comfort to our customers.
