The president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), held a vote in plenary, this Tuesday, November 30, in which the CCJ (Committee on Constitution and Justice) and CRE (Committee on Foreign Affairs) debated and approved 19 nominations.
Air Lieutenant Brigadier Luiz Ricardo de Souza Nascimento was voted for the board of the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac). The result was 47 votes in favor, six votes against and two abstentions.
Juliano Noman is the name that will be the presidency of Anac until March 19, 2025. After this period, the chosen Air Lieutenant, Luiz Ricardo de Souza Nascimento, should assume the position. Senators Antonio Anastasia (PSD-MG) and Jayme Campos (DEM-MT), among others, praised Nascimento's nomination.
The nomination, however, took place before reaching a vote in the plenary, at the Commission on Infrastructure Services (CI) of the Senate, in July this year.
Nascimento currently heads the Strategic Planning Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force (since February this year). He was previously general director of Economy and Finance at the Air Force. In the Airspace Control System, he was responsible for Air Traffic Management during the 2016 Olympic Games and the 2014 Soccer World Cup.
