During Tuesday (7), Airbus released the data referring to its order backlog for the month of November 2021. There were 58 aircraft deliveries and 318 new orders, which were largely due to the Dubai Airshow, when 261 units of the A321neo were ordered by the IndiGo group, 28 by the Italian ITA Airways, 12 by EasyJet, 10 by Ibom Air, among others.
For the month of December, Airbus wants to accelerate deliveries to 82 units, as the target for deliveries for the year is 600 units. From January to November, 518 aircraft have already been delivered. However, 75 orders for the A320neo were cancelled.
Even so, the European company claims that November deliveries were slightly above expectations. The A320neo alone had 25 deliveries in November, representing 40% of the total. The A321neo had 18 units delivered. The list is completed with seven units of the A330-900neo, two of the A350-900, one of the A321ceo and one of the A330-200 (MRTT). In all, 34 companies received the planes.
Airbus deliveries often increase towards the end of the year, but supply chain problems have slowed the pace of deliveries from Hamburg, Germany, industry sources say.
