Today, the 18th, a codeshare agreement was announced between Latam and the British Virgin Atlantic.
Thus, passengers who wish can travel from London Heathrow Airport to São Paulo, where they will be able to make connections with 12 other Brazilian destinations.
Passengers traveling from São Paulo to Heathrow will have the option to connect to other destinations in the rest of the world offered by Virgin Atlantic, such as Tel Aviv, New Delhi and Hong Kong.
“As global economies gradually recover from the impact of the pandemic, we also hope to capture demand for corporate travel to São Paulo, the commercial capital of Brazil, as well as other key business hubs in South America,” said Juha Jarvinen, Virgin Atlantic commercial director.
Direct flights between São Paulo and London had already been announced two years ago, but the covid-19 pandemic delayed the companies' plans.
Latam operates flights between Guarulhos International Airport and Heathrow with six weekly frequencies aboard a Boeing 777-300ER.
