Recently, billionaire Elon Musk started accepting cryptocurrencies as payment. Today, January 21, the Brazilian company Amaro Aviation, an executive aviation company that works with aircraft sharing and fleet management, announced payments with the most used cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance coin, Cardano, Tether, Solana, XRP, Polkadot, Dogecoin USD Coin, among others.
Accepting cryptocurrency as payment is no longer new around the world, but now the aviation industry seems to be getting into this mode as well. The advantage is that blockchain technology makes transactions virtually immediate.
“Cryptocurrency payment is a trend that has room to be further explored in the business aviation market. With this novelty, we started to expand business opportunities and offer more convenience to customers”, said Marcos Amaro, founder of Amaro Aviation.
Maintenance, catering, crew, among others, will be available for purchase with cryptocurrencies, as well as the purchase of aircraft quotas or flight hours.
Amaro aviation has 10 executive aircraft in its fleet, three of which are available for shared ownership. The other seven are aircraft in which Amaro Aviation performs fleet management, taking care of all the maintenance, supplies, crew, catering, among others.
