In mid-2019, Embraer's businesses had been separated because of the merger with the American Boeing. However, the merger process was unilaterally terminated by Boeing in 2020.

Thus, Embraer announced that it has completed the reintegration of the main information technology systems and processes that are part of the commercial aviation business. With the reestablishment, commercial aviation is once again directly linked to the structure of Embraer.

During the month of January, activities took place without prejudice to the continuity of the company's essential operations.

In a note, Embraer says that the reorganization began in May 2020 and, since then, it has been one of the company's main focuses. The objective is to review the strategic plan and the execution of initiatives to better exploit their potential and eliminate fiscal inefficiencies in order to be able to act in a less complex and more agile way.

“We believe that 2022 will be a year of growth and we are well prepared to take advantage of the company's full potential. In this way, the successful reintegration of the commercial aviation business is another important step in the process of executing our strategic planning and should result in significant operational improvements and better profitability”, highlighted Antonio Carlos Garcia, Executive Vice President of Finance and Customer Relations. investors.
