Tensions between Russia, Ukraine and NATO are growing. After a speech yesterday (22), US President Joe Biden imposed economic sanctions on Russia for the alleged invasion. In addition, Biden will deploy 800 troops to the Baltic region and up to eight F-35A Lighting II fighter jets for operations at NATO bases in the region. The information is from an anonymous official.

"These additional personnel are being redeployed to reassure our NATO allies, deter any potential aggression against NATO member states, and train with host nation forces," US Department of Defense officials said.

In addition, 32 AH-64 Apache helicopters will be sent to the Baltic region and Poland from Greece.

The move comes in response to Moscow's act of unilaterally recognizing the independence of the pro-Russian breakaway regions of Donetsk and Luhank. From there, Putin sent the military to these locations in order to guarantee “peace”.

About 1000 soldiers and F-15 Strike Eagle attack aircraft are already at Bases in Poland.

The US has already banned US companies from doing business with Ukraine's Donetsk and Luhansk regions, but few companies do.

The UK and European Union also announced sanctions against Russian banks and individuals on Tuesday.
