The world's largest cargo plane was destroyed during a Russian attack on a hangar at Hostomel Airport, near Kiev. Since the supposed destruction, on February 27, until today, there were no images. The first images were released by a Russian state TV channel.
The destruction of the six-engine giant can be seen clearly in the released video. See the video in the external link below.

According to the images, the plane appears to have suffered irreparable damage. The only other previous images show the plane in flames, but due to the low quality of the video, it is not possible to identify if it really is the An 225 or not.
Hostomel Airport is a great base for Antonov planes. Thus, other planes of the company were destroyed that day.

Built in the late 1980s to carry large and heavy loads, a second unit of the An 225 was ordered but never completed.
The large aircraft has a length of 84 meters, a height of 18.2 meters, a wingspan of 88.40 meters, a cruising speed of 800 km/h, a range of 15,400 km, an operational ceiling of 9,000 meters and a cargo capacity of 250 tons.
