After Airbus, Boeing and Embraer suspended the supply of parts and aircraft, China also refused to supply parts to Russia. The information was confirmed by a representative of the Russian aviation authority on Thursday (10). Many companies around the world are cutting their supplies to Russia due to the war with Ukraine.
According to information from Interfax, an official at Rosaviatsia, Valery Kudinov, said that Russia is seeking to obtain deals for parts from other countries, such as Turkey and India, so that Russian airlines can continue to operate with minimum safety standards.
Chinese companies could be barred from dealings with customers in Europe and the United States if they supply parts to Russia amid sanctions.
Russian aviation is being heavily impacted by the sanctions, with reports showing that many aircraft must be returned to lessors. It is estimated that around 500 aircraft can be returned. However, a project underway in Russia could cause airlines to nationalize the planes, preventing them from having to be returned.
