Sheremetyevo International Airport serves Moscow with domestic and international flights. However, as Russian commercial aviation has been heavily impacted by economic sanctions, flights departing from Russia to the West are banned, just as Western flights are banned from going to Russia. Terminal D will be temporarily closed.

"Sheremetyevo International Airport, in view of the restrictions imposed in the field of international air transport and to optimize and concentrate production activities in the north terminal complex (terminals B and C), suspends passenger service in terminal D from 00:00 :00 of March 15, 2022," reads an airport press release.

Flights operating at this terminal, from Belavia, Aircompany Armenia, Aeroflot, Mongolian Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Cham Wings, Air India and Air Serbia will be transferred to terminal B and C from the 15th.

In addition, the airport will temporarily close parking and traffic in the Terminal D station area.
