Gol announces maintenance units in Congonhas and Guarulhos

Gol Aerotech, Gol's maintenance unit, will receive two more new units. Aircraft maintenance now also takes place in Congonhas and Brasília. According to the company, the decision for two more units is based on the company's current situation and future prospects, especially for the post-pandemic period.
"In fact, all the studies we carried out were worthwhile and helped us to have an understanding of the scenario as a whole. This is a propitious moment and contributes so that we can, at the beginning of 2022, show the segment that we are in full expansion, certain that, very soon, we will have to dedicate ourselves to expanding the business unit even more”, says Celso Ferrer, Vice President of Operations at GOL.
Gol Aerotech's second unit in Congonhas will carry out aircraft overhauls and modification requests, as well as more complex overnight tasks.
The Brasília unit will carry out services of up to 3 days, such as changing the landing gear, changing the engine, minor modifications and non-destructive testing inspections. Also according to Gol, this space can be expanded according to future needs.
The confines unit, which has been in existence for over 15 years, has already renewed its partnership with Belo Horizonte International Airport, in addition to expanding from 5 to 7 maintenance lines.
