Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin revealed on Monday that Russia will lift travel restrictions to 52 friendly countries and territories. Brazil is on the list.
“As of April 9, we are lifting restrictions put in place to combat the coronavirus pandemic, which apply to our scheduled and chartered flights between Russia and several other countries,” he said, noting that the document has already been signed.
To this end, the government will lift flight restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic, both for scheduled and charter flights. Before April 9, it is possible to travel to only 15 international destinations without restrictions, such as Qatar and Mexico. The prime minister also stressed that the measure can only be taken because of the epidemiological situation in each country.
The news, released by the Tass agency, says nothing about the war between Russia and Ukraine. However, countries that have adopted sanctions against Russia are excluded from the list of friendly countries.
