After a two-year stoppage, Curitiba's Afonso Pena International Airport resumed international flights. The return took place yesterday (4) with the company Aerolíneas Argentinas, with the flight to/from Aeroparque (AEP), in Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina.
The flights are carried out on four weekly frequencies with the Boeing 737-700, with a capacity of 120 passengers.
“This route with Curitiba is part of an important bet we are making to enhance connectivity with Brazil, the most relevant international market for us. We are happy to be able to continue expanding the network to and from our sister country. We are sure that the public will respond positively to Aerolíneas Argentinas' proposal”, according to the airline's president, Pablo Ceriani.
The airport, now operated by CCR Aeroportos, spent two years operating only domestic flights. The airport also appears in Passenger Satisfaction and Airport Performance Surveys as one of the best in the country.
For Graziella Delicato, Air Business Manager at CCR Aeroportos, the resumption of international flights reinforces the importance of Curitiba Airport and CCR Aeroportos' commitment to expanding the number of routes and destinations at the 15 airports assumed this March.
