Airbus announced today (11) that BOC Aviation, an aircraft leasing company that has been working with Airbus for a long time, has signed a firm agreement for 80 units of the A320neo, bringing the total of direct orders from the lessor to 453 Airbus aircraft. , ranging from the A320 family to the large widebody A330 and A350.
The new order includes 10 A321XLR, 50 A321neo and 20 A320neo. This is the largest order for Airbus aircraft ever made by the lessor.
“This underscores our continued confidence in the A320neo family for its reliability and operational efficiency and reflects the aircraft's popularity among our airline customers,” said BOC Aviation CEO Robert Martin.
The A320neo Family represents a fuel savings of 20%, also representing less CO2 emissions and less noise. The range and passenger capacity of these aircraft should provide some route options that were not possible for companies before, and may even help in the recovery from the pandemic crisis.
