Today (5th), Gol released its previous traffic results for the month of April. The numbers show a strong recovery from the same period in 2021.
However, there was a small monthly drop in RPK demand (passenger revenue x kilometers flown). The number recorded this month was 2.288 billion RPKs, up from just 739 million RPKs in the same period last year. However, it was 2.989 billion RPKs before the pandemic.
Demand stood at 2.162 billion RPKs for domestic routes and 127 million on international routes, up from 2.579 billion and 400 million respectively in 2019. These numbers show that the recovery, as in other months, remained more intense on domestic routes. .
The rest of the numbers presented confirm the upward trend compared to last month, but still below 2019.
The results of the other main Brazilian airlines have not yet been released (as of the time of publication of this article).
