Last Wednesday (4), Eve, the Embraer subsidiary responsible for the development of eVTOL, published the Concept of Operations (Conops) for the future urban air mobility market in Rio de Janeiro. It is the first of its kind in Brazil.
To be developed, the concept had the participation of 11 important names, as well as government entities. Studies and analyzes were carried out to arrive at the development of the urban air mobility ecosystem.
In addition, the document points out operational needs for vertical take-off and landing aircraft, as well as points of attention in their use and support services.
In November 2021, a helicopter connecting Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone of the capital, with the international airport (GIG), was used to simulate and validate the concept. The data obtained from this simulation will be used for the development of the modality in other cities as well.
Eve's eVTOL is scheduled to begin operations in 2026.
