Azul Linhas Aéreas has already shown great growth in recent months. Today (9), the company released what it expects to have as results for 2022 and 2023.
Its president, John Rodgerson, even said, in an interview given in recent days: “There is always room for aviation to grow. We built, in Campinas, the largest airport in terms of number of daily flights in this country. Before Azul, Viracopos had very few commercial flights and was an airport only focused on cargo.”
The company shared that it intends to increase total capacity by approximately 10% compared to 2019, the year before the pandemic, given strong leisure and corporate demand.
RASK (revenue per seat kilometer traveled) is expected to increase by more than 20% in 2022 compared to 2019.
In addition, EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) in 2022 will be R$4 billion, while that of 2023 will be R$5.5 billion.
In addition, the company disclosed that it expects to gradually reduce leverage.
“Considering the current scenario of demand recovery and revenue growth already realized in 2022, in addition to our deleveraging and EBITDA generation strategy, we are confident that we will be able to end 2022 with a leverage starting at 5 and continue to reduce our leverage organically, taking it to levels starting at 4 in 2023 and 3 in 2024.
