Aviation in Brazil is increasingly recovering, with companies reaching levels very close to those observed in 2019. Latam expects to recover the offer of seats it had before the pandemic this month.
The company should perform 532 flights this month to 50 destinations across the country. For comparison, before the pandemic, Latam offered 44 destinations in Brazil. However, some routes are still less frequent than in 2019.
But growth must continue. At the beginning of the month (May 3), the route between Brasília and Sinop (MT) was inaugurated. Azul will offer flights to Montes Claros (MG), Cascavel (PR), Caxias do Sul (RS), Juiz de Fora (MG) and Presidente Prudente (SP) later this year. In all, by 2022, 55 different destinations should be offered.
Last year, Latam started flying to Comandatuba (BA), Jericoacoara (CE), Juazeiro do Norte (CE), Petrolina (PE) and Vitória da Conquista (BA).
The return to pre-pandea levels should only be seen in the domestic market. Latam predicts that the international market should recover 56% of its pre-pandemic seat supply. 16 destinations are expected to be served in South America, North America and Europe.
