During the 2022 World Cup, which will take place in Qatar, the main destinations of Qatar Airways will see an increase in flights. This increase includes flights between Guarulhos and Qatar. There will be up to three flights per day in the period.

The flight increase period will be between November 16 and December 20. That is, it starts 5 days before the Cup and ends 2 days after the final. The plane chosen to carry out the route will be the Boeing 777-300ER. The plane's capacity is 354 passengers, or in this case, 9912 per week.

The airline has increased its seat offer by 33%, which gives it 14,868 seats per week. Furthermore, it was not only in Brazil that this happened. Saudi Arabia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Spain were the other countries that gained an increase in the number of flights.

Long-range fleet aircraft will be used on these flights: Airbus A330-300, Airbus A350-1000, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9, Boeing 777-200ER, Boeing 777-300ER.

The tournament, which takes place for the first time in the Middle East, will take place in the northern hemisphere winter, to escape the country's high summer temperatures. The increase in demand for the period also encouraged the launch of exclusive packages for the FIFA event by Qatar Airways.

Packages include game tickets, round-trip flights and accommodation during the period. There are seven types of packages under the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Program, with prices starting at US$3,800.
