The Mexican Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) has certified the airline Aerolineas Arentinas to train Aeromexico pilots using the flight simulator.
Aerolíneas Argentinas will lease its simulators to Aeromexico. Aeromexico will have its own instructors.
There will be 50 instructional shifts for pilots over the next two months. The pilots trained will be Embraer pilots from Aeromexico, which currently has 42 Embraer E190 jets in its fleet.
"This is good news because it tells us about a recovery in the sector that benefits us directly and indirectly, being able to carry out this type of work and others, such as aircraft maintenance for other companies. This allows us to continue to gain reputation and generate long-term agreements in all matters related to services to third parties", said Pablo Ceriani, CEO of Aerolineas Argentinas.
The Aerolíneas Argentinas training center has already allowed the company to save more than 20 million dollars in internal training, in addition to having, in 2021 alone, invoiced more than two million dollars in third-party training.
