Azul and ITA announce shared flight agreement

Azul, one of the largest Brazilian airlines, and ITA Airways, one of the main companies in Italy, announced a codeshare agreement yesterday, 6.

With the partnership, passengers of the Italian company will have easy access to connections with Brazil. The connecting flights are marked with the code AZ and are operated by Azul in strategic markets. They are: Belém (PA), Cuiabá (MT), Santos Dumont (RJ), Porto Alegre (RS), Recife (PE), Juazeiro do Norte (CE), Belo Horizonte (MG) and Curitiba (PR).

Flights should start on June 10 on five weekly ITA Airways flights between Rome and Guarulhos (SP). On the ITA Airways side, there will be one flight a week from Rome to Guarulhos.

“We are pleased to announce another agreement that aims to connect the world with the main Brazilian cities. This partnership with ITA Airways will benefit Customers who are in Italy and intend to get to know the beauties of Brazil better, being also an excellent opportunity to see family and friends who live in one of the cities served by this agreement”, highlights Abhi Shah, vice -President of Revenue at Azul.

Passengers using codeshare can use the facility to perform a single check-in and to dispatch their luggage from origin to final destination.
