Latam plans to increase cargo operations between Europe and the Americas with the B767-300BCF

Grupo Latam has an aggressive plan to increase its cargo operations, following an upward trend in the market that was not even affected by the covid-19 pandemic.
The plan is to double cargo capacity between the US and Europe on existing routes, increasing flight frequency by 85% and opening new routes. The company will also increase connectivity between the Americas.
All these changes will be made gradually, starting in the second half of 2022. By the end of the changes, the company will already have about 160% of its pre-pandemic capacity.
To accompany the market, LATAM has already received two Boeing 767-300BCF units this year. The airline intends to receive one more unit this year, which, in addition to the others in the fleet, will be the fourth of the model. By 2023, there will be 21 cargo planes flying through Latam.
“The growth of our cargo network, together with the improvements in our systems through CROAMIS and the new distribution channels that make capacity available, reflect the commitment of LATAM and its cargo subsidiaries to offer more and better alternatives to our customers and provide the excellent solution our customers need to connect the world to South America,” said Andrés Bianchi, CEO of LATAM Cargo.
