Airport employees in Portugal are dissatisfied with wages and working conditions. In this way, unions accuse ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal of being operating with a lot of profit, and, even so, it does not offer good wages and working conditions.
The profit of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal was more than 25 million euros in 2021.
The strike is being planned for August 19, and is expected to last 48 hours, which would cause delays and flight cancellations.
The company said in a statement that it will continue to promote dialogue with the social partners, continuing the ongoing negotiation”.
Grupo ANA belongs to Vinci Airports, which manages 8 airports in Brazil.
However, the chaos is not just in Portugal and is present throughout Europe. It is not uncommon to hear of cancellations and delays, apart from the long lines at airports.
