ATR aircraft receives certification to use new PW127XT-M engine

The new engine that is expected to power ATR's regional turboprop aircraft, the ATR 72 and ATR 42, unveiled at the Dubai Airshow in November 2021, requires less maintenance and 20% lower costs compared to the PW127-M, in addition to a consumption of 3% less fuel.
The propellant has been certified by EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency). The launch customer will be Air Corsica later this year. See more about this engine in the external link below.
