Commercial aviation in Latin America will double in 20 years, according to Boeing

In its most recent study of market trends for the next 20 years, Boeing said that the commercial aircraft fleet in Latin America and the Caribbean will almost double in size, growing by 85%.
More specifically, Boeing's “2022 Commercial Market Outlook” shows 2240 new aircraft in the region by 2041. Boeing says growth will be driven by domestic and intra-regional routes.
In this way, the region is well positioned in the recovery after the pandemic that brought the sector down.

Consequently, most of the new aircraft delivered (2000) will be single-aisle. An important part of the planes will be responsible for replacing older models. The new planes will bring a gain in sustainability, contributing to the goal of zero emissions.
An important growth in the freighter fleet is also in Boeing's forecasts, Latin America should see a 50% growth in this market.
Passenger traffic is expected to increase by 4.4% per year. In addition, 118,000 new jobs are expected to be created including 35,000 pilots, 35,000 technicians and 48,000 cabin crew members.
