Emirates has placed an order for 5 Boeing 777-200LR freighters. IATA announced yesterday that the cargo market remains strong, as you can see in the external link below. Thus, with confidence in the market, the company from the United Arab Emirates invested more than 1.7 billion dollars in the plane (according to list prices).

The company has a fleet composed exclusively of Boeing freighters and already has more than 200 widebody orders for the American manufacturer. Two of the new 777-200LRs are expected to arrive in 2024, with the rest not arriving until 2025.

At Emirates Sky Cargo, the fleet of 777 freighters is 11 units. In addition, the company wants to convert 10 more 777-300ERs into freighters in 2003.

The airline's confidence in Boeing is such that the company was a launch customer for the Boeing 777F and is the plane's largest operator. The freighter versions added to the passenger versions are already about 150 units in operation.

During the Dubai Airshow event last year, the company announced a billion-dollar investment in the air cargo market.
