On Monday (21), Infraero summoned Itapemirim air transport to present an appeal in an administrative process that determined the disqualification of the carrier from the SICAF (Unified Registration System of Suppliers of the Brazilian Government) for a period of two years and the prohibition of bidding and contract with Infraero for the same period.
The company has ten days to file an appeal, counting from the publication of the subpoena in the Federal Official Gazette.
The reason for the publication is “because the addressee is in an uncertain and unknown place”. In the impossibility of finding the company, the subpoena was made public so that, eventually, it could reach the company.
In addition, the ITA still has a deadline to appeal a penalty that was published on September 12th. Remembering that ANAC suspended Itapemirim's AOC (Air Operator Certificate) in May this year. Itapemirim filed an appeal trying to reverse the loss of the certificate, but the president of ANAC, Luiz Ricardo Nascimento, was against the request.
