A Gol Boeing 737 MAX-8, registration PS-GPL, collided with a bird during the approach for the landing of flight G3 1933, which departed from Salvador (SSA) to Galeão International Airport (GIG), in Rio of January.
Bird strikes, or bird strikes, are not uncommon. In fact, these are common problems that generate large expenses for aviation, especially near airports. The incident draws attention because it was on a fairly new plane, which was received in July by Gol.
The incident occurred on November 26 and the aircraft had the nose tip crushed due to the great force of the impact. The plane continued the landing without any problems, but will have to undergo unplanned maintenance.
