As of December 1st, Petrobras reduced the price of aviation kerosene (QAV) by 5.8%. Since the beginning of November, the value had increased by 7.3% in relation to the month of October.
Price fluctuations are still very high, with values ""at very high levels. In 2022 alone, fuel has already accumulated increases of 50%, according to ABEAR (Brazilian Association of Airlines).
“QAV sales prices seek balance with the international market and follow changes in the value of the product and the exchange rate, up and down, with readjustments applied on a monthly basis, mitigating the daily volatility of international quotations and the exchange rate ”, according to Petrobras.
The president of Abear, Eduardo Sanovicz, wants a review of fuel prices, as 90% of fuel is produced in Brazil. In addition, fuel represents about 40% of the cost of airlines.
