Embraer outdid itself in sales of ag-planes

Embraer achieved yet another milestone with its agricultural aircraft, the Ipanema 203. 63 units have been sold so far (from January to November this year), surpassing previous years of sales of these aircraft. The aircraft already has almost 1500 units delivered.
Since its new generation, launched in 2015, the aircraft has accumulated more sales each year. In 2020, 28 units were sold, while in 2021, 62 units were sold by November (for comparison purposes).
“Ipanema is a great ally of Brazilian agribusiness as it reflects the efficiency, productivity, economy and robustness that make agricultural aviation an essential tool for the country. We are very satisfied with the results obtained this year and, with each new delivery, our enthusiasm for the projections for the coming years increases”, said Sany Onofre, agricultural aviation manager at Embraer.
According to Embraer, the aircraft is easy to maintain and has a low operating cost. However, the plane has high productivity when compared to other sprayers on the market.
In addition, since 2005 the plane has been powered by ethanol and certified to fly with renewable energy.
Embraer will make changes to the plane in the year 2023 to make it even better for use as customer suggestions. Among the changes are improvements in the ergonomics, maintenance and durability of the aircraft.
