Azul and Air Europa signed a codeshare agreement, which will make it possible to share flights between the companies, with more connection options.
The partnership allows passengers of the European company to have connections at the international airports of Guarulhos (GRU), to the Brazilian cities of Cuiabá (MT), Confins (MG), Curitiba (PR), Porto Alegre (RS), Recife (PE) and Santos Dumont (MG). from Salvador airport (SSA), which from December 21st will resume operations to Madrid (MAD), connections will be to Porto Seguro (BA), Congonhas (SP), Confins (MG), Recife (PE ) and Campinas (SP).
The companies have already maintained a collaboration since 2014. Azul will benefit from applying the shared code on flights operated by Air Europa between Madrid and Lisbon.
As Estele Leray, Director of Alliances at Air Europa, says, this is a great achievement for both companies, which will allow to reinforce the airlines' growth.
Passengers on both airlines will benefit, as they will only need to buy one ticket for connections, as well as waiting less between connections and accumulating loyalty program miles for flying with both companies.
