Chinese Ruili Airlines is the newest member of the advisory group for the Embraer Energia project

Embraer announced the new member of the advisory group for the Energia project, Ruili Airlines, shortly after an update on the concept of its sustainable aircraft.
The advisory group was created so that airlines and other project partners can help define the design and performance requirements needed for sustainable aircraft.
"We are excited to collaborate with Embraer on the Energia project. It is a great opportunity for us to work with an OEM to influence the design of next-generation sustainable aircraft, accelerating the development of sustainable aviation in China. At Ruili, we are committed to breaking new ground and cooperate in innovation to achieve better results. As Wuxi's first native airline, we plan to fully exploit regional advantages in the fast-growing East China, an increasingly important center for technology development," said Ye Yajuan, president from the airline.
Ruili Airlines is the first Chinese company to join the project. The idea is to exploit the advantages of the growing market in China. The airline is not only looking for innovation in the future, but is in the process of modernizing its fleet of narrowbodies, with an order for 34 Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 2 737 MAX 7. In addition, there is an order for 6 widebodies Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner .
Embraer is excited about the new partnership, as China is the region expected to experience the greatest growth in aviation in the coming decades.
