Palmeirenses do not approve the acquisition of an Embraer jet by the club

The Palmeiras team can purchase an Embraer E190 jet that will be used to transport the team's players and coaching staff. The announcement, however, was not well received by the Board of Clube de Futebol Paulista.
The club's president, Leila Pinheiro, best known for directing Crefisa and Centro Universitário das Américas, had filed a request with ANAC for the opening of an airline called Placar Linhas Aéreas. However, it is already known that this new airline will operate flights to Palmeiras itself.
At first, the jet should be delivered in just over three months and could also be used to transport other teams.
The criticism that came from Luiz Moncau, from the team's Council is: “The plane obviously does not belong to Palmeiras. Will Palmeiras pay to use it? Probably, right? What will be the hiring model? Who is the counterparty? Some news say that the president created a company named Placar Linhas Aéreas in October”.
It is not yet known what will be done with regard to the crew, maintenance and storage of the aircraft. However, fans are also questioning the need for the aircraft.
