Coopesa completes conversion of Boeing 737-800 for cargo

The partnership between Gol and Mercado Livre will gain another plane, with COOPESA (Cooperativa de Servicios Aero Industriales) announcing today (10) that it has completed its first conversion of a passenger Boeing 737-800 to the freighter version 737-800BCF ( Boeing Converted Freighter) for Gol.
Gol already has two other aircraft of the model, but they were converted in China. This will be the third freighter jet dedicated to the free market. The aircraft in question has already operated in passenger transport by Gol from 2007 to 2022.
The first cargo plane was received in August last year. In addition, Mercado Livre and Gol will have the partnership for another ten years, with options for six more freighters until 2025.
The aircraft began the conversion process on June 1, 2022 and is in Costa Rica. The aircraft registration was PR-GTQ in passenger transport. Now it will be PS-GFC.
