The airline Binter signed a contract for the maintenance of its E195-E2 jets with Embraer using the Beacon platform.
The announcement made by Embraer this morning (15) marks the first commercial agreement for the Beacon platform with a European company.
Beacon is a digital platform developed by EmbraerX that connects resources to professionals for aircraft maintenance, making the task much easier and accelerating the return of the aircraft to its normal operations.
“We started testing the Beacon platform with expectations of significant advances in aircraft availability and the proper allocation of our team. The Beacon has proven to be an important tool for our maintenance teams and we are happy to move towards a commercial contract after the trial period,” said Javier Bretón, Director of Operations at Binter.
The platform is not just for Embraer aircraft, but any aircraft from any manufacturer.
Binter is a Spanish airline based in the Canary Islands. Its fleet currently has 5 E195-E2 jets, in addition to 27 ATR 72 turboprops.
