Airbus released its financial results for 2022. The European manufacturer reported a consolidated net profit of €4.24 billion, up from €4.21 billion in 2021.
The results are explained by the increased demand for air travel. Net orders for commercial aircraft were 820 after cancellations, compared to 507 in 2021. Deliveries were 661 commercial aircraft, compared to 611 in 2021.
The rate of aircraft produced per month is also rising. The A320 family had around 45 units produced per month in 2022. However, the number is expected to increase to 65 units produced per month by 2024, with the number increasing to 75 units by 2025. narrow body that is observing itself.

Airbus Defense and Space revenues increased by 11%, driven by higher military aircraft and Eurodrone volumes. 10 A400M aircraft were delivered in 2022, up from 8 in 2021. Key orders for 2022 included the Future Combat Air System's Demonstrator Phase 1B, the Eurodrone unmanned aerial system and 20 latest generation Eurofighters for the Spanish Air Force.

In addition, the manufacturer is committed to the environment and intends to reduce its Scope 1 and Scope 2 industrial emissions by up to 63% by the year 2030. The company must also reduce the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions by 46% generated by its commercial aircraft in service (Scope 3 – Use of the Product Sold) by 2035.
