Airbus more than doubled the amount of commercial aircraft deliveries in February compared to January. There were 46 aircraft delivered in February, compared to the disappointing number of 20 in January. In all, this year Airbus delivered 66 aircraft to 42 customers.
Most of the aircraft delivered were from the A320 family: 21 A321neo, 13 A320neo, 3 A220-300, 2 A350-900, 1 A330-900Neo and 1 A330-200. These aircraft had 34 different customers around the world including.
Also, February was a busy month with regards to orders. Above all, because the manufacturer ended a legal case with Qatar Airways about the painting of the A350 and the 73 orders from Qatar were reinstated, 50 A321neo and 23 A350-1000.
In all, 99 new aircraft were ordered, compared to just 37 in January. Air India's large order for 250 aircraft is yet to be included this month.
However, it is important to point out that most of the orders for the month of February were from Qatar Airways, which in fact were not new orders. In fact, the European manufacturer is slightly behind what it was in the same period last year in both deliveries and new orders.
